After an exhausting day visiting every jeweler in Lynnhaven Mall and being less than thrilled with the insane prices of custom-made wedding bands to fit my irregular engagement ring, we finally found our perfect fit:

There it was - staring at us from the bottom of a class case next to a matching men’s wedding band. Rich and I fell in love, just not with each other this time. And definitely not with the credit card bill we’ll be getting next month…
We also finally got the wedding invitations printed and mailed…so it’s RSVP time for anyone that received one. We’re asking that anyone who received an invitation respond by at least June 3, 2011. You can do so online here.

Everyone keeps asking! How do you think it’s going? It’s exhaustive, annoying, frustrating, expensive, and tiring. but otherwise it’s going great. There’s so much to be done, and only a few weeks to do it. Unfortunately in the wedding world my plans for domination via procrastination aren’t quite working out.
See, it all started with this:

I love my engagement ring. My honey picked it out all by himself (ok, maybe his mom helped a little) and presented it to me in the romantic location of the InMotion Hosting parking lot. Quite a story to tell the kids someday. Since then I’ve employed my mother and three of my friends to help look for a wedding band that will fit to it and it hasn’t been at all easy. So that, as well as hand-making 150 wedding invitations, is the annoying part right now. Sometimes I wonder if it would have been faster and cheaper just to send out Facebook invites.
Next, we have dress shopping for the bridesmaids. I brought four of my little Barbies to David’s Bridal to look at dresses. This is the one we ended up deciding on (did I mention that most of the groomsmen are single?)

So now that that’s out of the way, we now have the challenge of dragging seven frat boys over to Men’s Wearhouse on Sunday to get fitted for tuxedos. I’ll make sure to bring my camera for that one…
A couple weeks ago I met with the cake lady, and ordered the custom wedding cake that we I wanted. I think most of you will find that it fits Richie’ and I’s personalities quite fine! (and no, it’s not a phallus cake, but thanks for asking)
So there you have it! From now on, anyone who asks how the wedding planning is going will be put to work in my wedding sweatshop and tasked with something small, tedious, and annoying to do. Or you can just keep coming back to our website and read for yourself
